What is it like to be hypnotized?
Hypnosis is a natural state which we are all very familiar with. Whether you are aware of it or not you go in and out of hypnosis throughout the day. Some days you experience the state of hypnosis more than others. We all, always experience being in the hypnotic state upon waking, and just before dropping off to sleep, we are experiencing the hypnagogic state. The hypnotic state is a wonderful space of complete physical and mental relaxation which is revitalizing and invigorating. Rather than being asleep, you are completely awake and in control while experiencing a high level of focus and awareness.
Will I get stuck in the hypnotic state?
All trances end whether formally or by your choice. It is not possible to be stuck. The next time you feel yourself getting stuck in a trance state, for example when a savvy salesperson is closing in on the sale and you find yourself unable to say no do this: simply count yourself out from one to five and say “Wide Awake”. Like this: “One, Two, Three, Four, Five. Eyes open, wide awake.”
I use positive thinking and affirmations, why should I use hypnosis?
Hypnotic Meditation adds an extra dose of effectiveness to whatever form of self-help methods you are already using. The hypnotic tool, we all possess but may have forgotten how to use, adds extra strength and focus to the use of positive affirmations by dropping the suggestions into your subconscious mind with laser light focus. For maximum focus and use of your inner power, hypnosis adds a turbo boost to reaching your goals and positive change. The self-hypnosis tool we all possess is effective, super relaxing, drug-free, and the most direct approach I know of to reach goals and release outdated modes of behavior. Sometimes people find they reach a plateau when using affirmations, positive thinking, etc. Hypnosis may be the missing link that can propel you over the plateau stage.

Hypnosis is a state we all experience every day. Repeatedly day in and day out. Marketing campaigns, social media apps, binge watched mini-series, video games, overloaded news stories, etc. all of these successfully hypnotize us by overloading the conscious mind and deftly dropping their sales message into our unsuspecting subconscious minds.
We routinely, unknowingly or knowingly, hypnotize ourselves for positive or sometimes, unfortunately, and rarely on purpose for negative results. A well-produced movie may allow you to lose yourself in the story, the “dream time.” And every evening we, all of us, wade through the delicious hypnagogic state of drowsiness before sleep.
What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is the biggest and strongest tool around. Hypnosis is a very effective tool created by words used to create suggestibility in the mind. When you receive a guided hypnosis session you will be allowing yourself to reach a deep state of relaxation where the conscious mind is mute so the subconscious mind may receive positive thoughts and suggestions for reaching your goals and of positive change. Behavior modifications can occur rapidly during this state as the subconscious mind is most receptive to replacing old beliefs and behaviors with new ones that support the positive goal. If you’ve ever been fully engrossed in a movie or other activity where you lost track of time and space you have experienced the hypnagogic state of hypnosis.

Does a hypnosis session need to be done in person?
No, effective hypnosis sessions do not need to be done in person, words are the only thing needed. But a Hypnomassage does need to be done in person for certain. The expanding world of technology has made receiving hypnosis sessions extremely convenient. I have received in-person, Skype and Zoom sessions and all three have been effective – I have even received Skype sessions in my car which were equally effective (not while driving of course). Hypnosis is created with words so as long as you can hear me, and sit comfortably according to the directions I give you the session will be completely effective if you choose to schedule a virtual hypnotic meditation session with me.
Are you really a trained Hypnotist?
Yes. Yes, I am. In 2018, after years of wanting to study hypnosis in depth, I completed a 300-hour certificate training from HMI Hypnosis Motivation Institute. I also regularly attend classes with Dr. Richard Nongard. You can combine massage with hypnosis for a very deep experience either to reach deeper and deeper levels of relaxation or to plant a goal into your subconscious learning system while you are in this very deep state of relaxation. Maybe you have a goal you are trying to reach and just seem to be blocked, stalled, and simply can’t get going on it; well now is the perfect opportunity for you to jump-start your movement toward this goal. Real Talk: planning ahead plus a short qualifying phone conversation is necessary for setting up a massage hypnosis combo session and or a stand-alone, pure guided hypnosis session. This is a very targeted session so preparation is needed for it. It is not simply me whispering sweet nothings into your ears while you lie on my massage table. There is a goal we are both striving towards. I will be educating your subconscious mind while you are relaxing and letting your conscious intrusive mind drift away for a designated period of time.
I offer both options of Hypnomassage and Pure Guided Hypnosis sessions.

Three examples of what you may wish to use as a goal with your Virtual Hypnosis Session or Hypnomassage session on Maui.
1. Releasing unwanted behaviors or habits.
A habit is something we do almost on an unconscious level. Smoking, drinking coffee, eating sugar, exercising in the morning, reading before going to sleep, going for a walk after dinner are all examples of habits. And many times habits are strung together to form a routine.
Not all habits are “bad”. Do you think you have a “bad” habit that you need to switch it to a “good” one? Easy right, nope, it is not always easy for everyone to do this.
So let’s say I want to get rid of the ‘morning coffee’ habit and switch to the ‘exercise in the morning’ habit instead. Let’s say my current routine is: I get up, feed the dog, drink some water, start the coffee and go pee. An habitual routine I can do with my eyes closed. Now if I want to change up this routine to a different one, such as: I get up, feed the dog, drink some water, go pee, and exercise. I can change this routine by many methods and most likely will not be so difficult. After about twenty-one days my new habit will successfully be integrated into my new morning routine.
But what if I can’t switch the habit so easily? What if, for some unknown reason I’ve completely failed and am unable to change this habit? This is where a few hypnosis sessions for habit control may come in very handy for changing this habit for good. The control of the habit may be seated in your subconscious mind. Using hypnosis either self-guided or with a trained hypnotist to guide you may be the deciding factor for how you may successfully be rid of a habit or behavior you no longer consciously desire to have.
The archaic definition of a habit is that a habit is “dress, attire”. Thisold definition is interesting to me because I never really thought of myself as clothing myself in my habits! Which is exactly what we all do. Most likely, people see us for the accumulation of habits that we all have.
Read that last sentence again. Think about that for a second or two.
